Shannon Ridge High Elevation Chardonnay 2020 Review

A lot of wine regions in California are influenced by either the Pacific ocean or rivers running through valleys. In Lake County, Clear Lake rules the land under vine. This is a nice example of the fruits of the AVA’s labor. This Chardonnay smells like pears with a waft of minerality hinting at the refreshment on the palate. Speaking of the palate, the pear and mineral (river rock?) notes continue the enjoyment along with a nice balance of fruit and a slight depth.
