Seghesio Family Vineyards Montafi Zinfandel 2024 Review

Seghisio is an American wine story. When you stand on its soil, you witness history. The winery still has a lot of early 19th century equipment on display, showing the evolution of a family farm. Turn your head, and you see the vineyards that the winery has tended since 1895. That is where this wine comes from: the Montafi Ranch vineyard, initially planted by Edoardo Seghesio in 1926. The nose is subtle, with cooking spices and floral notes, and a light dusting of freshly cracked black peppercorns. The palate is seamless and extremely balanced, with fruit and acidity in perfect harmony.
