Scheid Vineyards Petit Manseng 2020 Review
Al Scheid, a Harvard graduate who studied tax law, arrived in Monterey in 1972 with the idea of opening a winery as a strategic business move. Through investments and hard work, he quickly developed a passion for winemaking and today, the winery sprawls across 12 estate vineyards located along a 70-mile stretch of the Salinas Valley. This Petit Manseng sweet wine is herby and peppery on the nose with a nice dollop of caramelized pear notes. The palate is extremely balanced with wonderful acidity cleansing the palate making this wine a perfect pair for a cheese plate.
