San Michelle a Torri Tenuta La Gabbiola Chianti Classico DOCG 2015 Review
It’s nice when winemakers go for full Sangiovese, showing off it’s true sense of place within their zone. Here ripe cherry fruit with prominent floral aromas and classic forest floor exudes northern Classico. The palate is dry and round with a nice medium tannic grip and vibrant acidity letting all these characteristics sing in the glass while having high alcohol, which only briefly invades the experience. This is a well done 100% Sangiovese wine showing how expressive the grape can be in this area. It may not be easy to find, but this is a great wine for a big meal with friends and family.
