Rossville Union Straight Rye Whiskey Barrel Proof Review
Indiana-based MGP is the master of rye, contract distilling for many of the major names in American whiskey. It came as no surprise when the distillery eventually released Rossville Union, its proprietary rye line in 2018. This bottle contains a blend of MGP’s 51 percent and 95 percent rye mash bills. The aromas skew herbaceous and spicy, with a hint of smoke, The palate is fulsome in flavor and weighty in texture. The brand's entry-level Straight Rye is also worth seeking out, but this bottle warrants the extra dollars.
