Something about Rioja wines that cannot be said enough is that as much as these wines can age, the youthful bottles can be bright and invigorating. This is one of those bottles. It has verve and lively berries on the nose with a slight herby tint. That tint is from minimal or no oak because not a lot is getting in the way of this wine's buoyant playfulness. Throw this bottle in the fridge for about thirty minutes and serve it chilled to concentrate the flavor. Fun and awesome wine.
