Kellerei-Cantina Andriano Gewürztraminer 2015 Review
This wine showcases why the northern Alto Adige region is perfect for aromatic white wines. This entirely classic Gewürztraminer smells like strawberry candy, purple flowers and potpourri, like one would imagine a soft pink pillow to smell like. Ginger spice makes itself known on the palate, but like the overall profile of this slightly off-dry wine, it is never overblown, balanced by ripe Meyer lemon and lychee fruit. Gewürztraminer in and of itself is a divisive grape variety, but this is a superb example of what it should taste like.
