Inama Vigneti di Foscarino Soave Clascico 2016 Review

This barrel aged, old vine Soave bottling is a gorgeous, nuanced Italian white wine with tremendous complexity. The aromas are very intense and include wildflowers, chamomile, honey, and a hint of marzipan. It has a full body, and a slightly creamy texture – the result of fermenting in old French oak barrels – and flavors of pear, honey, and dried herbs. The finish is dry and very long. This is an Italian white that can go toe-to-toe with comparably-priced French white Burgundy. If you like elegant, complex old-word white wines, this is a must try.
