Petite Sirah, Zinfandel

Gnarly Head Authentic Black 2015 Review

The color of this Petite Sirah/Zinfandel blend is as close to black as a red wine can get. Aromas and flavors include blackberry danish and blueberry compote. The texture is gigantic and softly palate coating; like a big, heavy, soft wool blanket for your tongue. Almost as concentrated as Port, but drier and far less complex. Not a food wine; drink it alone, or with a cigar. This is not a complex wine, but a good choice for someone who prefers boldness in red above all else.
