Campo alle Comete Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 Review
This is an exceptionally lively and flavorful Cabernet Sauvignon from an estate vineyard site in the Southwest of Tuscany. The color is bright garnet, and aromas include fresh blackberries, cooked blackcurrants, and a hint of allspice. The texture is noticeably light and lively, but also complex and flavorful. Flavors are fruit-driven with a nice backbone of silky tannins and a long, spiced finish. Its lighter body, balanced profile, and modest 13.5% ABV might disappoint fans of big, chewy California-style Cabernet, but these same qualities will excite anyone who enjoys Old World-style Cabernet or elegant Italian wines.
