Redbreast 12-Year-Old Single Pot Still Review
A stalwart in the single pot still category, Red Breast 12-year-old serves an easy-going, approachable intro to Ireland's traditional style of whiskey. Its inviting aromas start with dried fruits (apple crisps and golden raisins) then relay some subtle oak influence. The palate dials up the concentration considerably, with pronounced dried apricot and baking spice flavors, and a heavy mouthfeel that coats the palate. The depth of flavor means each sip lasts an age, but you'll soon be coming back for more.
