Ram's Gate Winery Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay 2020 Review
Ram's Gate winemaker Joe Nielsen makes Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Carneros, the coolest spot in Napa Valley. And he knows what to do with these cool-climate grapes. This wine is deep yet refreshing. The nose has ripe mineral fruit notes with the subtlest of oak. The mouthfeel has a nice drying effect, balancing the fruit on the palate. Good acidity keeps the wine refreshing while still showing depth.
