Ram's Gate Winery Carneros Pinot Noir 2020 Review
Carneros is one of the coolest growing zones in Napa and Sonoma. Ram's Gate winemaker Joe Nielsen knows this and it comes through in this wine. The nose is ripe with subtle classic cherry notes but alive with an almost citrus aroma wound up in some cinnamon. The palate is filled with refreshing acidity and mild fruit. The oak is prominent but doesn't interfere too much with the Pinot of it all.
