Prunier Cognac 20 Year
Review
It seems ludicrous to state but this might actually be a $250 bargain. A truly outstanding spirit from Maison Prunier, this Cognac opens up with elegant notes of tobacco, leather, and baking spice followed by hints of roasted figs and Peche Melba. The palate doesn’t hold back either, showcasing a range of flavors from ginger and freshly chopped wood to toffee, caramel and dried prunes. It can be tough to track down a 20-year-old Cognac — let alone one where oak doesn’t dominate the flavor profile — so consider yourself lucky if you get your hands on this release.
