Monroy Wines Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 Review
Adolfo Hernandez and his father moved to California in 1997 from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where they made wine from Greek grape grape juice due to the prohibition of alcohol in the region, save for American enclaves. In the U.S. he pursued a degree in molecular biology and began a career as a chemist in organic pesticide production. But he was destined to be a winemaker taking up jobs at multiple well known wineries in the Golden State. His experience shows in this unique Sonoma Cab. It shines bright with the minty pepperiness inherent in this variety with a nice mild concentration of fruit. The palate is lean but present with a noice long peppery finish coated with blackberry fruit aromas.
