Masottina Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene Superiore Le Rive di Ogliano Extra Dry 2020 Review

When you see the word “Rive” on a Prosecco bottle (it’s a fairly new thing), the wine comes from one of forty plus small hamlets within the DOCG region. The idea is that it’s a more terroir-based wine, and this is a great example of why this new designation exists. This is a soft Prosecco with a mineral-driven nose and some aromas of candied fruit and pineapple. The palate is creamy, with calm bubbles letting you enjoy the slight depth of the wine. There is an almost earthy finish, like fresh chalk.
