Lost Lantern Wild Woodland George Dickel Review

While independent bottler Lost Lantern usually only deals in off-the-beaten-path craft distilleries, their newest collection is exclusively devoted to this Diageo-owned Tennessee whiskey brand. This release is a marriage of five Tennessee straight rye casks aged for seven years — in fact, it’s the first time George Dickel's Tennessee-distilled rye has been offered as a stand-alone release. It’s an herbal and spicy rye, with hints of Andes chocolate mints, dill, allspice, cloves, with an oaky finish. Interesting, delicious stuff at a fair price in limited quantities (just 664 bottles).
