Lingua Franca 'Avni' Chardonnay 2021 Review
The Willamette Valley is mostly known for Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. It doesn’t mean that they are the only two varieties that can succeed there. Co-founders Larry Stone and David Honig began the journey of Lingua Franca back in 2015 and have shown that the Chardonnay grape can also thrive here. This is truly an Oregon Chard with ripe fruit and wonderful minerality on the nose. The balance in this wine is apparent on the nose as well as the palate. The wine has great texture with a broad mouthfeel and a good grip. There is a minimalism to this wine that makes it so damn good.
