Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 Review

A kid from Brooklyn (Dan Petroski, San Francisco Chronicle's winemaker of the year 2017) is making wine at this historic wine estate in Cali and bringing back the classic cab style. On the nose this muscular Cab is all herbs, spices, cassis and currant with a whiff of vanilla. At some point as the wine ages these aromas will transfer to the palate, but for now the mouthfeel is all tannin all the time. This beast needs a couple more years to calm itself into peak. If you buy now, hold.
