Landmark Vineyards Rayhill Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016 Review

Truly taking advantage of the Russian River Valley fog and breeze, the acidity here is like a sounding board for citrusy rhubarb wafting up into you brain before anything else gets a chance, but that’s all good because this aroma hits, then hovers over dark cherry and vanilla with a hint of spicy cinnamon. There is an earthy beetroot note that comes in on the palate along with some seasoned meat. Guys, this wine is expensive, but it's one of those American Pinots that defines how well wine can be made here.
