Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars Chardonnay 2020 Review
The Finger Lakes is a cool-climate region known for wines that thrive in these conditions like Riesling and Saperavi. Chardonnay is a grape that can handle almost any environment, but even with that kind of resilience it still takes skill to make it with depth and balance. This wine shows that it is possible. The acidity is quite high due to the climate here but it has a nice soft depth that is aided by good oak exposure. The palate has some quiet tannins (probably from the oak) that frames the wine nicely.
