La Madonnina Chianti Classico DOCG 2015 Review

This is that Chianti Classico Riserva that pulls off the quality to price ratio with flying colors. It’s 100% Sangiovese and has all of the signature aromas of sour cherry, floral notes and earth tones. It has good balance and is not very complex. The oak takes hold and dominates a bit too much, exposing some green tannin, yet at $13 it is the perfect shareable Chianti. Bring it to a dinner party and everyone will be happy. Give it as a gift and they will appreciate it. Have it on a week night and you will be satisfied.
