Review
The Kerschbaumer family has maintained this eight-century-old estate in Italy's Alto Adige region since 1940, and continue to keep the production small and focused. They mostly ferment in stainless steel except here with their Pinto Grigio, which is fermented in Acacia wood. The nose has soft, mild fruit with a waft of saline. There is just a wonderful structure on the palate with grippy acidity and rich, ripe fruit to match. It’s a very quaffable wine that leans into the lean in just the right way.
