Kanosuke First Edition 2021 Single Malt
Review
Despite only being the first release from the Komasa Kanosuke distillery, this 3-year-old small batch single malt is very impressive and the producer should certainly remain on your radar. Time spent aging in re-charred American oak casks that once held rice shochu has provided the distillate with enticing aromas of apple and plum. The palate follows the nose with rich flavors of malt, oak, soil, and fresh fruit, accompanied by a lengthy finish.
