Johan Sapience Pinot Noir 2021 Review
Sapience is a French word for “good taste, intelligence, or wisdom,” and this was the goal of this wine. Johan chose carefully from their barrels for this bottle to “highlight structure and concentration, while maintaining balance and focus.” They have done just that. Saline and punchy bright black and raspberry fruit in the nose, with lean and texture, with good concentration of fruit to match the high acid.
