Jefferson's Reserve Pritchard Hill Cabernet Cask Finished Review
A cask-finished bourbon, this release spends 12 months resting in French oak barrels that once held Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The red wine finish gives it a layer of complexity that other expressions from this distillery don't have. There's some nice charred aromas and an interesting red berry sweetness. The red wine finish also adds layers to the palate. It's slightly sweet, but also feels tannic, like a fine red wine.
