Inniskillin Cabernet Franc Icewine 2019 Review
We don’t often see dessert wines made from red grapes — let alone Cabernet Franc. But this wine shows that we could stand to see more. It’s a wine that bursts with punchy cherries and very ripe strawberries on the nose with a spike of brandy. The mouthfeel is luscious and sweet but with great natural acidity to keep it refreshing. The coolest part about this wine is you can still detect a whisper of the peppery notes the grape is so famous for. A medallion of goat cheese drizzled with honey and a crack of black pepper will make this wine, and you sing.
