Hermann J. Wiemer Blaufränkisch 2022 Review
The legacy of Hermann J. Wiemer in the Finger Lakes is huge. This winery, among others, helped establish the nascent wine region as a destination for renowned Riesling. The winery has since expanded beyond Riesling, and now produces reds like this delicious Blaufränkisch. The nose offers notes of dark berries and dried herbs. The palate is wonderful with soft, plush fruit and excellent natural acidity. A great example of American Blaufränkisch.
