Gloria Ferrer Brut Rosé 2019 Review
The Ferrer family has been an integral part of the Cava industry in the Penedès of northeastern Spain since the early 20th century. In the '80s José Ferrer and his wife Gloria came to California to fulfill a family dream, to make sparkling wine in the new world. They ended up in the cool breezes of the Careneros district before it became an AVA, and made the first sparkling wine in the area. This wine is creamy and effervescent with some fun notes of cranberry and the concentration of strawberry jam. The fruit on the palate is coating while the soft but persistent bubbles keep everything refreshing.
