GEM&BOLT Damiana Mezcal Artesanal Review
This Espadín expression undergoes two distillations with a brief period of oak maturation in between. The second run through the still also includes the Mexican herb damiana, a traditional stimulant that is believed to produce a euphoric sensation. Its impact on the final spirit is immediately apparent in the form of invigorating botanical notes that promise to entice gin drinkers. With gentle smokiness on the palate, this is a great (if non-traditional) intro to mezcal.
