Garre Winery Merlot 2019 Review

Livermore Valley is an AVA in Alameda County California east of San Fransisco. The hills are a barrier for the famous fog of the bay, making this area warm and windy. The Garre family came from Genoa, Italy applying their winemaking skills from Europe to their land in the U.S. The Merlot is as sunny and breezy as the land they farm. It has bright and punchy fruit notes with ripe blueberries and a leathery undertone. The palate is soft and fleshy with a juicy mouthfeel and even balance between acidity and fruit. Plush and delicious.
