Fox Run Vineyards Lemberger 2021 Review
Fox Run was a dairy farm for over a century, but was transformed into a vineyard and winery in the '90s. And in the cool climate Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, Austrian varieties just make sense. This is a Lemberger, also known as Blaufränkisch. It's on the leaner side of the variety, but it really works. The nose offers notes of wild berries and pepper. The palate is high-toned, but is well balanced between fleshy fruit and bright acidity.
