This single-barrel release from Four Roses is an expressive one, made using a high-rye mash bill and bottled between 7 and 9 years old. The specific bottling we tasted (Warehouse GE / Barrel 39-1 R) is all savory rye spice and vanilla on the nose, while also being fruity with a cake batter sweetness. Take a sip and those elements are ramped up with a velvety, saccharine finish. Buy this bottle and thank yourself later.
