Emeritus Vineyards Hallberg Ranch Elite 2021 Review

After selling his first winery, the famed Chardonnay brand Sonoma-Cutrer, Brice Cutrer Jones purchased the Hallberg Ranch in 1999 to start his new project, Emeritus Vineyards. He brought the best people he had worked with in the past to this new adventure, setting his sights on making the finest Pinot Noirs in the region. This wine pays a tribute to this special site, made with the vineyard’s “Elite Selection” grapes. This is the epitome of a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir with savory notes of forest floor, aged balsamic, and cinnamon balanced by tart cherry flavors and chewy tannins.
