Duckhorn Vineyards Napa Valley Chardonnay 2021 Review

Dan and Margaret Duckhorn founded Duckhorn Vineyards in 1976 as one of the first forty wineries in Napa Valley. They began with Merlot and took a very strategic approach to expand their brand bringing on board different varietal wines when they knew it was time. Their Chardonnay debuted in 2012 and is shining to this day. Wonderful ripe fruit on the nose with a kiss of oak shows balance before the first sip. The mouthfeel is soft with calm yet active acidity, especially on the finish, with very focused depth. This wine has some heft, but it is undeniably refreshing.
