Domaine Matrot Puligny-Montrachet Les Chalumeau Premier Cru 2017 Review
Well I’ll be goddamn this wine is amazing. DAMN! When they say that this area is Chardonnay’s truest expression it’s right here in this stupid-crazy, awesome bottle of wine. There are toasty notes of vanilla and pear that sing and harmonize with every millisecond it’s in the glass. Aromas aside, this wine is all about texture, which is perfect. There is a heady quality that houses the aromas while the oak tannins grip your palate like a welcome hug, only to release for a long finish, compelling a second and third sip. Shareable? HA! Nah. Save this one all for yourself.
