Delectus Estate Merlot 2009 Review
Rich Merlot with a blueberry liqueur vibe. The alcohol is high, but this wine shows how a well-done wine can settle into a nice, long lived balance when everything hits just right. It’s nice and rich with tannins that have softened into the fruit. The slight heat from the alcohol (which never goes away) almost adds to the complexity. If you are a fan of big California wines, give this one a try to see how they age.
