Cliff Lede Vineyards Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 Review
There is some complexity in this wine, but it all lies under a layer of heat from the very high alcohol. It’s very age-worthy, and maybe over time it will all come together as it naturally reduces. There are some nice dark fruit aromas of blackberries and blueberries and a dose of black pepper. The acidity is also nice, and if it wasn’t for the alcohol it would really lift the wine up and give it some good structure. If you buy, hold on to it for a few years and see if the booziness mellows.
