Château Mongravey Margaux Crus Bourgeois Supérieur 2020 Review
Cru Bourgeois is a wonderful classification system in Bordeaux that not enough people know about. Under the watchful eye of winemaker Régis Bernaleau, Château Mongravey in Margaux achieved Cru Bourgeois classification in 2003. The estate is now one of the 56 wineries with the Crus Bourgeois Supérieur designation, which denotes that the wines reliably deliver outstanding quality and value. And it's well deserved. This wine has a slight peppery note on the nose, hovering over concentrated aromas of currants and blackberries. The palate delivers a soft, yet powerful fruit core framed by a great tannic structure. This is a quintessential steak dinner Bordeaux.
