Castillo Monjardin "El Cerezo" Pinot Noir 2016 Review
It makes sense that Pinot Noir would do well in Navarra, thanks to its climate and soil composition, and this winemaker does it right, so right. Made from old vines, this Pinot is aged in neutral barrels giving it just a touch of vanilla which combines with a significant dollop of sour cherry fruit balanced with aromas of blackberry. With silky tannins this wine has all the power and elegance of some of the more expensive Pinot Noirs out there. It's a steal.
