Castello Monterinaldi Vigneto Boscone Chianti Classico DOCG 2015 Review
Not only is this a single vineyard wine but one of the estate’s oldest vines (30 years old) and it shows just how a vine matures along with the fruit it yields. When Sangiovese gets a bit older it concentrates its aromas, closing the gaps between characteristics and folding them all in on themselves, making for a beautiful experience. The ripe cherry fruit is focused into dark cherry fruit, and the earth tones soften into the a forest floor in October. This wine is not widely available in the US yet but it should be as it is a wonderful representation of Radda wine. For now they sell on their site and if you are a big Chianti fan, this is a gem you should experience.
