Buzzard's Roost Sipping Whiskey Toasted American Oak Bourbon (Batch No. 2) Review

Suave is the name of the game with this release from Buzzard’s Roost. Despite carrying an ABV of 52.5 percent, the booze barely registers on the palate. Crafted with a blend of 4- and 5-year whiskeys, both with rye as their predominant flavoring grain, each sip exudes the quintessential rich and approachable characteristics we’ve come to expect from labels bearing the term “toasted.” On the palate, notes of crème brûlée and candied orange stand out, along with decadent vanilla and butterscotch.
