Brooks 'Ara' Riesling 2022 Review
The Oregon-based Brooks winery is the living legacy of its visionary founder Jimi Brooks. Winemaker Chris Williams met Brooks in the '90s and the two became fast friends. When Jimi passed away unexpectedly in 2004, Chris was among the many to take up the work to solidify the Brooks Winery legacy. Today Chris is still at the helm, making great wines like this wonderfully balanced Riesling. It has a flinty nose with notes of ripe pear and green apple. The palate leans into texture with a great acid-driven mouthfeel.
