Big Cork Vineyards Bank Road Vidal Blanc 2020 Review
In the Blue Ridge Mountains where the Shenendoah River meets the Potomac is Big Cork, a Maryland vineyard and winery. They have a long line of wines but this ice wine made from the hybrid variety Vidal Blanc is a testament to the history of this place when this was a work-horse grape for the region. This wine has a shy nose, but it’s the mouthfeel that sings with rich caramel notes. The palate is quite angular, with good acid to balance the sweetness.
