Alois Lageder has been on the U.S. market for years. It might just be sitting there waiting for you to give it a try on your supermarket shelf. They make a lot of wine but have an ability to keep all of their wines focused on quality. The crisp air and sun of northern Italy doesn’t hurt either. This ripe and round unoaked Chardonnay says hello with juicy red apple and jasmine aromas that fold into a hint of lemon-lime. On the palate the addition of dill and a note of wet flint rock, pronounced by the edgy acidity, keep everything in check.
