Albert Boxler Pinot Gris 2020 Review
Jean Boxler carries on the tradition of his grandfather Albert who came back to his native Alsace from Montana after the second World War. To this day, the winery's production is small. They work with hand-picked grapes and age the wines in foudres underneath the family home. This impeccably balanced Pinot Gris is a great example of their style. It has a nice saline nose with minimal fruit and white flower notes. The palate has a slight hint of sweet fruit with wonderful acidity. But it’s the great overall structure that really sings in this wine.
