Adelsheim Vineyard Breaking Ground Pinot Noir 2021 Review
According to founder David Adelsheim, “The idea that we would plant a grape variety that no one knew well in a place that nobody had ever heard of was not only remarkably naïve, it was a remarkable leap of faith.” And we are happy they did. He and his wife Ginny have been leaders in the Chehalem Mountains since the early '70s and continue leading to this day. This wine is a celebration of that story. Lean with good fruit depth, this is a very approachable mountain-fruit Pinot. The acidity is high but the fruit is rich and chewy, allowing a channel of minerality to keep the wine refreshing.
