Jeio NV Rose

As rosé continues to rise in popularity, the bubbly variety of this festive, pink beverage is becoming all the rage. Each year we see more and more bottles of sparkling pink wine hit the shelves in spring and summer, cashing in on the current trend and flooding the consumer with more options than they know what to do with. With so much available, and not much information to go on, it can be hard to know which wine is simply a rosé in color only, and which wine truly stands out and should be added to your basket.

One such standout wine is the Bisol Desiderio Jeio ‘Cuvee Rosé’ from the Veneto, Italy – a Prosecco that deserves attention, especially if you enjoy rosé and bubbly that is a bit off dry as there are hints of residual sugar present.

This wine has nice flavors of red berries – strawberries and raspberries – and tomato with a bit of honey and tannin. The bubbles in this wine are fine and we found it was at its best when served with a nice chill. As the wine began to warm, the sugar seemed to weigh the wine down for some tasters, but at a crisp temperature, all found it enjoyable.
