The Story Behind The Beerleader Spritz

This dressed-up take on a classic large-batch porchcrawler is an essential game-day drink. Sweet, sour, and delightfully effervescent, this is the perfect drink to enjoy while cheering on your team. Though similar cocktails are often served in red solo cups, this is the classy version and therefore deserves real fruit, a real glass and Ketel One Vodka.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Ketel One Vodka
  • 3 ounces light beer
  • ½ ounce lemon juice
  • 3 strawberries, to muddle
  • 1-2 basil leaf garnish

Directions

  1. On a cutting board and using a sharp knife, hull three ripe strawberries. Add them to an empty highball glass.
  2. Add vodka and lemon juice, and gently muddle. For a more botanical flavor muddle in 1-2 basil leaves as well.
  3. Add crushed ice to cover.
  4. Pour cold, light beer into the glass at a 45-degree angle to keep it as carbonated as possible. Gently stir to combine.
  5. For garnish: add a few basil leaves.
