The Story Behind The Field Goal Gin Spritz

A little sweet, a little sour, a little Aviation Gin; this wonderfully herbaceous cocktail is as refreshing as seeing your team score a field goal. Muddling fresh rosemary will make a noticeable difference and will lend the drink a complex taste that sets it apart from tried-and-true classics like Mimosas and Screwdrivers.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounce Aviation American Gin
  • 2 ounces orange juice
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • 2 ounces club soda
  • Rosemary sprig (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Cut an orange in half. Add juice from half the orange to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Muddle a fresh sprig of rosemary in cocktail shaker. Add gin and simple syrup and gently stir to combine.
  3. Strain into a rocks glass. Add cubed ice and stir until chilled.
  4. Top with club soda and add two rosemary sprigs.
